MIGRATION PERIOD, Pseudo-Imperial coinage. Circa late 3rd century AD. AR (20.5mm, 4.59 g, 9h). Contemporary imitation. Laureate head left / Uncertain figure on horseback left. Sergeev – but cf. 220-231 (for similar series); cf. Sergeev 231 (for an aureus imitation in silver after Probus). Toned, minor edge chip, cleaning scratches. Near VF. Extremely rare and unpublished. Based on an early Tetrarchic bust. This series likely originates with an indeterminate tribe in central eastern Europe.
