MIGRATION PERIOD, Pseudo-Imperial coinage. Circa late 3rd century AD. AR (20.5mm, 2.35 g, 12h). Contemporary imitation. Bareheaded bust left / Uncertain male figure standing left, holding sword pointed downwards and ornate shield. Sergeev – but cf. 220-231 (for similar series). Toned, some central weakness on reverse, slight porosity, minor marks. VF. Extremely rare and unpublished. This series likely originates with an indeterminate tribe in central eastern Europe.
