MIGRATION PERIOD, Pseudo-Imperial coinage. Circa late 3rd century AD. AR (20.5mm, 3.94 g, 12h). Contemporary imitation. Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Probus left, holding shield / Uncertain figure on horseback riding right, holding [wreath(?)] in outstretched hand. Sergeev – but cf. 220-231 (for similar series); cf. Sergeev 231 (for similar). Toned, lamination errors, minor edge chip. Good Fine. Extremely rare and unpublished. This series likely originates with an indeterminate tribe in central eastern Europe.
