Isaac II Angelus. First reign, 1185-1195. AV Hyperpyron (31mm, 4.31 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. The Theotokos enthroned facing, holding nimbate facing head of the Holy Infant on lap / Isaac, wearing crown and loros, holding cruciform scepter, and the Archangel Michael standing facing, holding sword in sheath between them. DOC 1b var. (no manus Dei); SB 2001 var. same); Elsen 125, lot 902 (same dies). Toned, graffiti, light deposits. Good VF. This die appears to be missing the manus Dei in the upper middle field crowning Isaac. It is possible that the engraver ran out of space, or simply forgot to include it.
