EARLY SKYTHIANS. Anonymous. Late 2nd-mid 1st century BC. AR Tetradrachm (34mm, 14.51 g, 12h). Hybrid Skythian and Yuezhi imitation of an uncertain AR Baktrian tetradrachm. Helmeted, diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Athena(?) standing left, holding shield and scepter; uncertain monogram to left. Unpublished in the standard references. Deposits, heavy corrosion and pitting, bent flan with associated fracture, crystallized. Near VF. Very rare.
