SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Antioch. Marcus Aurelius. As Caesar, AD 139-161. Æ As (23mm, 11.23 g, 6h). Bareheaded, draped, and cuirrased bust left / S • C; crescent above, Δ below; all within laurel wreath. McAlee 585; RPC IV.3 Online 6998. Earthen red-brown surfaces. VF. The third and finest known.

According to McAlee, there is only one obverse legend for the coinage of Marcus Aurelius as Caesar, the obverse legend on this specimen appears to be an abbreviated version, ending before the cuirass on his shoulder. However, due to the flan shape and wear on that portion of the coin, the exact reading of the coin is unclear.

Closing Date and Time: 4 June 2025 at 12:14:00 ET.
