Diademed bust right with fringe over forehead and large jewel, stepped cross to right / Bird standing right on cross; annulets in upper quarters, pellets in lower; all within ouroboros. Abramson 16-20; cf. SCBI 63 (BM), 99 (for similar); SCBI 67 (Abramson), 65 (same obv. die); MEC 8 Series Bd; cf. North 126; SCBC 776 var. (cross before bust). Toned. Near EF. An elegant and fine style example of this early type. |
