ROMAN REPUBLICAN. Anonymous. Circa 214 BC. Æ Quadrans (28mm, 16.85 g, 1h). Grain ear (first) series. Uncertain mint in Sicily. Head of Hercules right, wearing boar’s skin headdress; ••• (mark of value) to left / Bull charging right; above, grain ear above ••• (mark of value); serpent below. Crawford 42/2; Sydenham –; RBW 140. Dark green patina, slight roughness, some smoothing and tooling. VF.
