Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.42 g, 7h). Rome mint. Struck April-August AD 121. Laureate and cuirassed bust right, cropped of its pteryges / Bonus Eventus standing left, holding patera over lighted altar on left, and also holding bunch of grain ears. RIC II.3 357; RSC 1073b var. (bust type). Attractive deep old iridescent toning, minor flan flaw on reverse. Superb EF.
