Christ Pantokrator enthroned facing, nimbate, raising hand in benediction and holding Gospels / St. Demetrius, nimbate, holding small cross to chest, standing slightly right, extending hand to John, wearing crown and loros, standing facing. DOC 1206; A. Veglery & A. Millas, "The silver coinage of John VI Cantacuzenus (1353-1354)" in NumCirc LXXX.9 (September 1972), 4 (this coin); LBC –; LPC p. 150, 3; PCPC (303); SB 2542. Attractively toned with some iridescence. VF. Very rare.
