France. Circa late 15th Century AD. Leaf (3.82”x5.00”). Medieval Book of Hours. Illuminated leaf containing an abbreviated Gloria Patri followed by the entirety of Psalm 92 in the Vulgate. Followed by an abbreviated Jubilate Deo. With simple illumination around capital letters and interspersed throughout the text. From a prayer book worthy of someone of some means for the time. Attractive gold, blue, red, and white illumination. Ink intact. Slight browning and tiny tears at edge, some slight staining and minor fading, small old code penciled in at lower margin. VF.
