POTTERY. Magna Graecia. Gnathia. 6th-4th Cent. BCE. (110 mm tall x 170 mm wide). A large Gnathian skyphos with squat flat foot that meets a tapered body that trumpets to a straight lip. Two handles, one on either side, are present just under the lip. On the body, a multichrome design of Bacchian design with a lyre, grape vines, solar patterns and dots present. Pattern with U’s and dots atop. On the reverse, simple vine patterns with a floral pattern mid-right and pattern with U’s and dots atop. Intact.
