IRELAND. James II. 1685-1691. Æ Crown. ‘Gunmoney’ coinage. Dublin mint. Dated 1690. ‘RIX’ in obverse legend. Timmins TB60Y-5M; Withers 56/57; SCBC 6578B. Brown surfaces with some green deposits. Near VF. Overstruck on a gunmoney halfcrown with the 1689 date visible. Rare – only seven known to Withers.
