Laureate and cuirassed bust right / Sol standing left, chlamys across left shoulder, holding globe in right hand and whip in left; –|*//PLN. RIC VI –; C&T 7.03.062 (this coin cited and illustrated). Brown surfaces, traces of silvering, some verdigris on reverse. Good VF. Very rare. One of only three known to the authors of C&T, two of which are in museum collections. This is the only example known for Licinius with the COMITI AVGG NN reverse. |
