Laureate head of Zeus right / Athena, brandishing spear, shield on left arm, in biga of elephants right; anchor and monogram above, monogram-in-circle to lower right. SC 263; SMAK MAHD-2 var. (unlisted dies); cf. HGC 9, 47 (unlisted issue). Granular surfaces, patches of thick find patina, die break on obverse. VF. Extremely rare, the eighth known hemidrachm for Seleukos at this mint. |
