Bronze dolphin appliquè. Roman. 2nd-3rd centuries CE. (11.8 cm) An applique with hollow back possibly used to mount the piece. The piece itself is shaped like a dolphin and seems to end in a foot (nose of the dolphin). Patina is dark green, with some patchiness on the tail, showing the original metal. Mounted on stand.
