Bronze belt buckle with bust of Christ. Byzantine Empire. 5th-7th Cent. CE. (4.9 cm) A belt buckle with a central roundel showing Christ facing forward, cross behind. Behind, two apostles face surrounded by U shaped borders surrounding figures. To left edge, a pin holder and rest. On the back, two mounts with holes pierced. Dark patina with minor deposits.
