Isaac II Angelus. First reign, 1185-1195. EL Aspron Trachy (27mm, 3.37 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. The Theotokos enthroned facing, holding head of the Holy Infant on lap / Isaac standing facing, wearing jeweled chlamys with five jewels on collar, holding cruciform scepter and akakia, being crowned by St. Michael the Archangel standing facing to right, holding jeweled scepter. DOC 2 var. (number of jewels on collar); SB 2002. Lustrous, graffiti in margins, minor edge bump. Good VF.
