MACEDON, Akanthos. Circa 470-430 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 17.23 g, 5h). Attic standard. Lion right, attacking bull crouching left, biting into its hindquarter; in exergue, fish left / Ethnic in shallow incuse around quadripartite square in relief. Desneux 100 (D97/R90); AMNG III/2, 21; HGC 3, 385. Lightly toned, minor edge bump, a couple of light scratches on reverse. Good VF.
