IMP C L DOMITIVS DOMITIANVS AVG, laureate head right / GENIO POPV-L-I ROMANI, Genius, wearing modius, standing facing, head left, holding patera in right hand, cradling cornucopia in left arm; at feet to left, eagle standing facing, head right, wings spread; -A//ALE. RIC VI 20 var. (wreath in beak); J. Lallemand, "Le monnayage de Domitius Domitianus," RBN (1951), p. 100, 8 and pl. VI, 17 corr. (obv. legend omits AVG). EF, brown surfaces with underlying silvering. Very rare. Bold strike on both sides, more hair and beard details than usually seen.
