RIC reads the imperial name as Theodosius, and places this coin in the mid 5th century. BMC reads the name as Anastasius, thus placing it in the first quarter of the 6th. The reverse seems to be a clear copy of the early types of 20 nummi under Anastasius. The flan is cast, indicative of later issues.
