Ex libris Th. I. Prowe of St. Petersburg, Russia, with a tipped-in autograph letter from the author, on British Museum stationary dated Nov. 15, 1876, explaining that the book is no longer available in London, and to try Rollin & Feuardent in Paris.

Interesting association copy. Theodor Prowe's extensive collection of Greek and Roman coins was dispersed in a series of European auctions between 1904 and 1914.
