AUGUSTUS. 27 BC - 14 AD. Æ Imitation As (9.03 g). Bare head right / Legend around SC. Fine, grayish-green patina, some light roughness, two casting sprues.
An unusual item that doesn't appear to be a cast of an official coin. The obverse clearly shows a portrait of Augustus, yet the legend appears to start T CAESAR with the rest of the legend unintelligible. The reverse legend also appears to be unintelligible, not matching any of the known moneyers.
