A taler of Augsburg, dated 1629, countermarked on reverse with two punches: horseman right with monogram below in dotted circle (Type I) and date in plain rectangle (Type III). Coin: Davenport 5035; KM 61; Countermarks: Efimki 1461a (this coin); Kaim I p. 126-129; KM -. Coin VF, c/ms VF, toned.($1000)

Ex Willy Fuchs Collection (Sotheby's, 24-25 April 1997), lot 165; purchased from Münzhandlung Gaettens of Lübeck, 5 April 1983.

Spasski does not comment on the light weight of this taler. It is in fact a contemporary cast counterfeit to which the yefimok countermarks were applied.
