A taler of Hamburg, dated 1629, countermarked on reverse with two punches: horseman right with monogram below in dotted circle (Type I) and date in plain rectangle (Type I). Coin: Davenport 5365; KM 47; Countermarks: cf. Efimki 949 (unlisted date); Kaim I p. 126-129; KM -. Coin VF, c/ms good VF, toned. Coin not annealed properly before countermarking; flan heavily cracked. ($750)
