RUSSIA. Alexei Mikhailovich. 1645-1676. AR Yefimok (Jefimok) (28.70 g, 7h). Dated 1655. A rijksdaalder of West Frisia, dated 1651, countermarked on obverse with two punches: horseman right with monogram below in dotted circle (Type II) and date in plain rectangle (Type II). Coin: Delmonte 940; KM 15.3; Countermarks: Efimki 78 (this coin); Kaim I p. 126-129; KM 422. Coin VF, c/ms good VF, toned, light encrustation. Head of horseman obscured by diebreak, otherwise one of the clearest examples of the countermark.($500)
