BITHYNIA, Kalchedon. Mid 3rd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.71 g, 1h). Imitating Lysimachos-type tetradrachms. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / KALCA-DONIWN, Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; monogram to inner left, spiral ornament on throne, grain ear in exergue. Seyrig, Monnaies pl. 24, 21; RG 22, pl. XLVI, 12 = De Luynes 2413 (same rev. die); SNG Copenhagen -; SNG BM Black Sea 131 = BMC 21 (same dies); SNG von Aulock -.
