Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin headdress / BASILEWS ALEXANDROU, Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; M in left field, monogram below throne. Cf. Price 3673 (tetradrachm); cf. SNG München 778 (tetradrachm). Near EF, bright surfaces. Unpublished denomination for this issue. ($500)

The addition of the royal title to Alexander's lifetime coinage in Babylon occurred near the end of this issue, but previously was known only on staters and tetradrachms. The following issue, struck after Alexander's death, included drachms and hemidrachms with the royal title (c.f. Price 3693 and 3694).
