Interwoven wreaths forming a central box with ears; pellets and crescents around / Celticized horse right with "wishbone" shaped head; open crescent flanked by rosettes above, pellet-in-annulet below. Hobbs 3438; Van Arsdell 628-1bis (pl. 17); SCBC 430. CCI 87.0543. Good VF, rose gold. ($750)

Van Arsdell 628-1 lumps two very distinct types together. The first type features a more realistic horse, with a trilobe device above. The second is like the present specimen.
