BOIOTIA, Thebes. Circa 425-400 BC. AR Stater (11.69 g). Boiotian shield / Amphora; to left, bow right; Q-E across lower field; all within circular incuse. Head, Boeotia p. 40, pl. III, 12 = BMC p. 78, 94, pl. XIV, 3; Myron Hoard pl. G, 29; SNG Cop. 305. VF, well centered on a large flan. ($750)

An apparently unpublished variety of this stater has an additional bunch of grapes to the right of the amphora (see J. Schulman 18 January 1954, lot 712).
