Boiotian shield, club across upper half / Bearded head of Dionysos right, wearing ivy wreath; Q-E across lower field; all concave incuse. Myron Hoard pl. B, 3 (same rev. die); Traite III 241, pl. CC, 9 (same rev. die [earlier state]); Naville-Ars Classica XVI (3 July 1933), lot 1154 (same dies). Fine, even grey tone. Severe artistic rendering of Dionysos, a rare reverse die. ($500)
