BOIOTIA, Federal Coinage. Circa 225-171 BC. AR Drachm (4.97 g, 7h). Laureate head of Poseidon right, border of dots / Nike standing left, resting on trident and holding wreath; BOIWTWN downward on left, monogram to inner left. Head, Boeotia p. 90 corr. (Poseidon, not Zeus). Near VF, even grey tone. Small compact head of high relief. ($200)

Same obverse die as lots 122 and 123 below. This particular obverse die saw a lot of use and appears in various states of wear. It is coupled with reverses having several different monograms that are also combined with other obverse dies.
