CILICIA, Seleucia ad Calycadnum. Gordian III and Tranquillina. 238-244 AD. Æ 37mm (26.40 gm, 5h). Struck after 241 AD. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gordian III right, vis-à-vis diademed and draped bust of Tranquillina left; c/m: annulet within D / CELEVKEWN [TW(N) PR]OC TW, KALVK/ADN/W in upper field, ELEVQEPAC in exergue, draped bust of Artemis-Tyche right, cornucopiae behind, vis-à-vis laureate and draped bust of Apollo left, laurel branch behind. For coin: SNG Levante 776; cf. SNG France 1035 (same obv. die); for c/m: Howgego 670. VF, dark olive patina, light roughness on obverse, flan bent, minor hairline flan cracks at edges on bend.
