MYSIA, Pergamum. Caracalla. 198-217 AD. Æ Medallion (43mm, 42.16 gm). Struck 214-215 AD. M. Caerelius Attalus, strategos. Laureate and cuirassed bust right, viewed from the front; c/m: wreath / [EPI CTPA M K]AIPEL ATTALOU PER[GAMH]/NWN around, PRO TWN G NE/OKORWN in two lines in exergue, Caracalla standing left, holding sceptre and raising hand toward tree about which a serpent is coiled; between, a small figure of Telesphoros on basis.
