THRACE, Perinthus. Septimius Severus. 81-96 AD. Æ Medallion (39mm, 38.65 gm). Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, viewed from the back / FILADELFEIA P-ERIN[QIWN] around, NEWKORWN in exergue, Herakles standing left, head right, holding lion's skin and apples, resting club on ground; behind, tree around the trunk of which the coiled body of the serpent Ladon dead, and a Hesperide. Schönert, Perinthos 526, 2; Varbanov 3858 (same dies); Mouchmov 4519; Voegtli 7i, 13m (same reverse die). Near VF, rough dark green patina.
