COnSTAnTInOS S LEOn O n•, facing busts of Constantine, bearded, and Leo, beardless, both wearing crown with cross and chlamys / C LE On PA MUL, facing bust of Leo III, wearing crown with cross in circlet and loros, holding cross potent on globus. DOC III 4 = H. Longuet, "Die unedierteb byzantinischen Münzen des Wiener Kabinettes," NZ 77 (1957), pg. 45, 280 (same obverse die); SB 1553. Good VF, slightly clipped flan, usual matte surfaces. One of only two known specimens, and the only one in private hands (the other in Vienna). ($3000)
