IVLIA MAESA AVGVSTA, diademed and draped bust right / PIETAS AVG, S C across field, Pietas standing left, sprinkling incense from extended right hand over garlanded and lighted altar and holding open casket of incense in left hand. RIC IV 414 (Elagabalus); Banti 6; BMCRE 389 (Elagabalus); Cohen 31. Good VF, mottled black-green patina, spots of brick-red on reverse, hairline flan crack. ($750)
