Bare head right / Five-line legend and EM (date); all within wreath. RPC I 4270; BMC Galatia pg. 169, 150. Fine, black patina with light green highlights.

According to Tacitus, Silanus' daughter was married to Nero Caesar, the son of Germanicus and Agrippina the Elder, and the older brother of the future emperor Gaius (Caligula). In 17 AD, Tiberius replaced Silanus with Cn. Calpurnius Piso who was later accused of mudering Germanicus Caesar.
