FLORIAN. 276 AD. Antoninianus (3.24 gm). Serdica mint. IMP C M ANN FLORIANVS AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust left, holding spear and shield decorated with gorgoneion / PRO-VIDEN D-EOR, Providentia standing right, holding two standards, facing Sol standing left, holding globe; */KA•G•. RIC V -; Venèra -. Good VF/EF, silvered, small flan crack. Unpublished. ($500)

This rare bust type is known in the last issue of Tacitus at Serdica, with simiar reverse type and mintmark (cf. Venèra pl. 31, 39). Thus, it is likely a carry-over into the first issue of Florian at that mint.
