Greek. Corinth. Circa 6th century BC. Terracotta alabastron (9.8cm). Finely tapered foot and wide body decorated with three registers: Lowest, triangle pattern; mid register, cats; top register, various beasts (deer, lion, eagle, and bull). Neck tapers finely into a short extension, painted with wave pattern to open to large lip. Single handle with checkerboard-like pattern. Some wear and damage present.
