Egypt. Late Roman – Byzantine Period. Early Christian. Circa 4th-7th centuries AD. Marble cylinder (25mm). Alternating sections of diamonds and “evil eye” V chevrons. Engraved in lower left on one of the sections. Bust of bird. Atop the piece, a dove holding an olive branch. Below, on bottom, drilled out section. A few chips. Late dating to the Early Christian Period is supported by engraved early Christian symbol of dove and olive branch. Website shipping rates do not apply.
