The Caesarians. Julius Caesar. Late spring-early summer 48 BC. AR Denarius (20.5mm, 4.03 g, 6h). Military mint traveling with Caesar. Diademed female head (Clementia?) right, wearing oak wreath; LII (= 52, Caesar's age) behind / Gallic trophy, holding oval shield and carnyx; securis surmounted by wolf’s head to right. Crawford 452/2; CRI 11; Sydenham 1009; RSC 18; DCA 937. Lightly toned, obverse graffito and die rust, fields smoothed on reverse. Near EF.
