SELEUKIS and PIERIA, Laodikeia. 78/7-16/5 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 12.54 g, 1h). Dated year 33 of the Caesarian Era (16/5 BC). Veiled, draped, and turreted bust of Tyche right / Zeus Nikephoros seated left; IOYΛIEΩN TΩN KAI ΛAOΔIKEΩN to outer left and right, ΓΛ (date) and ME to inner left; AΠ below throne, ΓΛ in exergue; all within wreath. Mørkholm, Autonomous –; RPC I 4380 var. (unlisted date); HGC 9, –; DCA 568 var. (same); Prieur –. Toned, flan crack, roughness and some scratches. VF. Apparently unique year 33 tetradrachm, downdating the series from 17/6 to 16/5 BC.
