Countermark applied under Abgar XIII of Edessa, AD 179-214. ‘BGR/ MLK’ (=Abgar, king) in Old Edessan and a second uncertain type in rectangular countermarks on a bronze of Nero(?) from Antioch. Howgego 696. Host Poor, c/m Good Fine, rough brown surfaces. Rare.
