Crawford 95/1c = Crawford, Early –; Schaefer & Friedman Fig. 29 (same obv. die); Sydenham 113 var. (with VB monogram); RSC 36m var. (same); Kestner 1071; BMCRR Italy 233-5 var. (same); RBW 391 (same obv. die). EF, lustrous. Extremely rare variety without the VB monogram.

Note that Jupiter’s head on this Crawford 95/1c is more elongated than on Crawford 90/2. The curl on the forehead of Crawford 90/2 is vertical but on Crawford 95/1c it is not. There are three curls close to one another on Crawford 95/1c, rather than four longer curls on Crawford 90/2. The coin plated in Crawford for 95/1c is the example in the Kestner-Museum in Hannover, Germany.
