Terracotta oil lamp with ram. Roman, 1st-2nd centuries AD. Volute-type lamp with dimpled central area depicting a ram charging right within concentric linear border. Hole above ram. Nozzle is volute, with flares at the body and the end of the nozzle. Large hole and tiny air hole on nozzle. Footed.
Dimensions: 7.3x5.4x2.4cm. Loss of glaze, otherwise intact and a good example of type.
