SELEUKID EMPIRE. Demetrios I Soter. 162-150 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 16.65 g, 11h). Antioch on the Persian Gulf mint. Diademed head right within fillet border / Apollo Delphios, testing arrow in right hand, resting left hand on grounded bow with two pellets on grip, seated left on omphalos; monograms to outer left and outer right. SC 1707.7 (this coin referenced); Mørkholm, Seleucid, dies A8/P9 = CSE 1096 = Houghton & Le Rider, "Un trésor de monnaies hellénistiques trouvé près de Suse," RN 1966, 76 (this coin); HGC 9, 790a. Fine, toned, scattered light marks, minor flan flaw on reverse. Very rare.
