SELEUKID EMPIRE. Antiochos Hierax. Circa 242-227 BC. AR Tetradrachm (30mm, 16.76 g, 11h). Lysimacheia mint. Diademed head of Antiochos I right / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANTIOXOY, Apollo Delphios, nude, seated left on omphalos, testing arrow in his right hand, left hand on bow set on ground to right; two monograms in exergue. SC 857 var. (monograms, but same obv. die as illustration); CSE 675 var. (same; same obv. die); HGC 9, 399d. Good VF, toned, light scratches and scrapes under tone, light die rust on obverse. Unpublished variety of a very rare issue.
