Interesting Barbarous Imitation

Constantine I. AD 307/310-337. Æ Follis (16mm, 1.83 g, 3h). Contemporary imitation. Uncertain mint, possibly in the Balkans. Struck circa AD 318-319 or later. Laureate, helmeted, and cuirassed bust right / Random letter or symbols in approximately four lines within laurel wreath (imitating a VOTA type). Cf. Sergeev 263; for prototype: cf. RIC VII 28 (Thessalonica mint). VF, dark green patina with earthen highlights/deposits. Interesting contemporary imitation.
