THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 450/40-420 BC. AR Drachm (17mm, 6.18 g, 6h). The hero Thessalos, with petasos and chlamys hanging around neck, restraining bull left by band held around its head / ΛΑPI / Σ-ΑΙΑ, bridled horse rearing right within incuse square. Lorber, Thessalian 50; BCD Thessaly I 1128; BCD Thessaly II 173-4; HGC 4, 420. Good VF, toned, some deposits on the obverse.
